School Attendance Boundaries
Western Gateway has a neighborhood boundary including the following neighborhoods: College Hill, Higgins Heights, Jones Grove, Wheeler District and Will Rogers Court.

Who Can Attend
The School has a designated neighborhood boundary and any child residing within the neighborhood boundary shall, subject to any capacity and education program limitations, be entitled to attend the School. The School’s boundary has been designated an academic enterprise zone in accordance with 70 O.S. §3-140(C).
Established by OKCPS
Students that reside within the School’s Neighborhood Boundary may opt-out of attending the School and choose to attend their resident home school. The Neighborhood Boundary was established by the Oklahoma City Public School (“OKCPS”) and the School’s Board of Education (“Board”) with the goals of creating a diverse student population.
Enrollment Opportunities
Students who reside within the attendance boundaries will be eligible for enrollment upon providing appropriate documentation of residency and enrollment forms. Students who live outside of the Neighborhood Boundary of Western Gateway will be eligible to apply through the lottery. Seats may be offered IF the school has not reached capacity. Please see Tiers of Enrollment below for further explanation.
Tiers of Enrollment
The order of priority for admission and enrollment of students to the School will be based on the following three tiers:
Tier 1-
Any child who resides within the Neighborhood Boundary. (see map)
Tier 2-
A child who resides outside the Neighborhood Boundary, but within OKCPS district’s attendance boundary.
Tier 3-
A child who resides outside of OKCPS’s district’s attendance boundary.
To enroll in school year 2023-24, students must:
- Pre-K — be 4 years of age on or before Sept. 1st, 2023
- Kindergarten — be 5 years of age on or before Sept. 1st, 2023
- 1st — have either turned corresponding age by Sept. 1st, 2023 or have already completed antecedent grade.
- 2nd — have either turned corresponding age by Sept. 1st, 2023 or have already completed antecedent grade.
